I have a sneaking suspicion that SOMEBODY may have been drinking recently.

hello everyone
wow i put this off for a long time...
ok, well... hi, my name is Thai,i would think awkward, tends to talk a bit too much in person (probably because i say most of whats on my mind), swears lots but i can stop for a time, also a bit shy around new people, but generally a good person once you get to know me. I'm currently 18, and living in southern California. i found my way to this site through nerd courting at anime expo 2010.(and hopefully ill attend again)
I've been watching anime since i was a kid though i didn't know it and i think i really started getting into it somewhere in middle school and I've just watched more and more ever since. i also started playing games since i was little and usually ill be willing to play anything. well I'm relatively new to cons since I've only been to ax 2009 and ax 2010. um... ah I've been meaning to learn to sew or such and because i want to cosplay for cons, but its unfortunate because for some reason learning to sew gets put off.
lets see, i for the most part play games and watch anime, occasionally reads manga, once in a while i sketch w/e interests me though its rare and i think I'm not too good, some time ago i started playing d&d and i would like to again, watched doctor who since i think the 9th incarnation and is currently caught up, Loves eating sweets, and just enjoys hanging out in general. i also enjoy Fictonia podcasts and would like to listen to more.
usually listens to w/e people wanna talk about and responds accordingly though I'm more comfortable talking online for some reason.
so feel free to talk to me for whatever reason and about anything at all.
well its nice meeting you all.

Yo! 'Tis a Chelsea. I am an acquaintance/friend of some of the runners of this-here forum, and I was dragged on by Elisia in a fit of mix-making.
I am less of an anime/manga fan than most of you, probably, but I do enjoy it. My interests are more in Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Asian Ball-jointed Dolls than cosplay and such things. I do, however, play video games from time to time, and I have dabbled in costume creation. There is a good chance that this will be one of my few posts, as I have an affliction known as Internet Shyness. Kicks in at the most annoying times, too. XD
Well, that's about it. *waves to the general populace*

What's up everyone? I'm Elisia's brother, Ryan. I'm not as big into anime and video games as I used to be, but I'm still pretty knowledgeable regarding various subcultures both in and out of the entertainment industry. I still play a lot of older games, I listen to a LOT of music, and I've recently been getting into watching a lot of obscure movies.
Like my sister, I have a knack for drawing, although I mostly stick to abstract brute art. I write sometimes too, but I don't have any fully finished stories yet (I'm very critical of my own work).
I'm also into philosophy, psychology and mysticism, so if you're ever in the mood for a "What does it all mean?" conversation, I'm pretty good for that.

Welcome to the board, Ryan! I'm pretty sure we met ages ago, but glad Elisia was able to drag / trick you into coming here too! I'm still learning to be less critical of my fiction as well...

Yes, I believe I've met a few people here on a couple of different occasion. This might help me get to know my sisters friends better, since I'm online more often than I see my sister, and even more often than I go see my sister while she's with her friends.

There's an Introduction thread?
Huh.
I'm Kevin. I've known the ringleaders of this site since they were in High School, and lived with J for three years. Fun times.
I hate forums and internet social sites like the plagues they are, but Adam convinced me, in person, to sign up. So here I am.
On a cosplay note, I am the monkey / man responsible for the Wadou Ichimonji prototype, and Version 1 of Adam's Wadou Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu, and Yubashiri swords worn when they won the 'Best of Show' award at AX something or other. Adam Knows which one - out of all the prizes they got, he claimed the trophy. By right, too, since he did all of the costuming work.
Since then, I've helped most any time a wooden sword was made to my design. Although I have to admit Chris' trick with shaping Afro Samurai's Handguard was sheer brilliance.
I read Manga like people breathe air. See my manga thread if you're unsure of the veracity of that comment.
I watch less Anime now than I used too. Mostly because the Manga I read finds itself turned into next season's hit Anime's. Besides - in twenty five minutes I can either A) watch one episode of anime or B) read 7 to 10 chapters of manga. You get three guesses as to which I prefer, and the first two don't count.
Yes, I am an assh*le.
I used to write fan-fiction under a pen name. Most of it's still on Fanfiction.net.
I am the only True Gundam Fan I know - I fell in love with Zeta Gundam and worked my way both forward and back.
I play video games. A lot of video games.
I can fix most anything, from Automobiles to Zabuton's, if I put my mind to it. Most times, I feel justified in paying someone else to do the crap I don't have the energy or gumption for.
I work as a security guard. I get benefits. I get to help people. I DON'T get shot at. Thus, I am reasonably pleased with this line of work.
I am out of random crap to say. I'm sure I'll annoy each of you individually at some point. It's actually not intentional. I just have a severe lack of patience and tact when I'm tired. And I've been tired since I was five.
Peace out. -K1

And I've been tired since I was five.
Not that I'm anticipating your death, but that would be a hell of a gravestone epitaph.

It's true. Kevin is the mastermind behind our sword design. Much respect. It's a shame he hasn't been able to share in our festivities with us.

At my new job, after a year, I get one week of paid vacation.
One Week.
PAID.
Vacation.
Now, for those of you with jobs that offer this, it may not seem like a big deal. I, however, just spent 6 years working in the Security field for a company in which I had to bypass the owner entirely and schedule a replacement myself to get a sick day.
This means AX 2012, or 2013. I may spend Vacation 2012 in Vegas.
But it does mean Con, at somepoint. And better revenue means MSN-06Fb ZAKU II PROJECT Might be back ONLINE.
Giant robot FTW.
