So! I decided to indulge my inner 8 year old and bought a Super Nintendo game system off Amazon today. Along with Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart. Those are the only game I can really remember playing hahah.
I am seriously STOKED! It's going to be epic. xD!!! Dum dum DUM!

Nice, I love both those games! Yoshi's Island is also really fun, it's actually one of my favorite games on the snes. Awww, just thinking about playing makes me miss my snes...

Sweet, they were both great games. Fortunately, I have a Wii and have both of those games.

When I was in highschool, I sold my nes, snes, and all of my games to a little girl in a yard sale for $10. I still miss the games sometimes, but I take heart in the knowledge that somewhere out there is a girl that is more nerdy because of me. ;D -Adam

Ann: I know! I would probably still have my original (our family NEVER gets rid of anything....it's scary) but my sister tried to play a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in it when we were little........and needless to say the SNES was never the same xD
@james: One day I'll graduate to the big kid versions but modern game systems are out of my league, I'm TERRIBLE at them hahah. I suspect watching me play is a bit like watching my mom try to use her computer. Painful.
Adam: Hahah way to give to the cause!

I only have a PS2 with dragon quest as my only game. But I still play castlevannia, mega man, and super mario on my phone with an emulator.
dont worry about sticking with old school systems. they have always been better then todays.

The music from Mario World & Mario Kart are only ever a hum away in my brain ( Vanilla Lake is one of my all-time favorite game songs), but personally the SNES game I cannot live without is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles In Time. Throwing Foot Soldiers into the screen never gets old!
