So, earlier this evening, we got teasers for Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, and Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Who's excited for one or more of these?

Ah, I knew we had a thread for this sort of thing already!
Catching up on footage from TGS 2011 @ Gametrailers.
Allegedly Capcom's offline MMO Dark Souls Dragon's Dogma will have a tie-in to Berserk, with armaments from the series available! That's something, I guess.
Each successive piece of Saint's Row 3 & Arkham City news erodes my willpower to keep from buying them on the day of release.
The One Piece PS3 Dynasty Warriors-type game is only showing Luffy footage so far. It'd be a shame if you couldn't have a go with everyone from the Straw Hat crew.
Max Payne 3's got me kind of nervous. Guess the most I can hope for is Duke Nukem Forever: it didn't set the world on fire but it was still solid by all but the Yahtzee-est expectations.
It's funny that Ninja Gaiden 3 has apparently given Dante's Devil Trigger ability to Ryu, along with some insta-kill action. Something that genuinely surprised me in the demo is the bad guys who survived Ryu's burning dragon summon straight up, lay-down-weapons, hands-on-head surrender (complete with begging for their lives).
Ryu kills them anyway because NINJA FUCKING GAIDEN, but the fact that it was there at all? Combined with the stealth-kill smokescreen section, I don't know whether Team Ninja is going in a bold new direction or is just a headless chicken without Itagaki.
I may have to revoke my stance on the new Devil May Cry because GRAPPLING HOOK. Dante's new shapechanging weapon he wields not only allows for some Scorpion-from-MK-GET-OVER-HERE-type gameplay but some neat platforming touches, too. Also I hadn't even thought about it until watching the new Devil Trigger in action, but Ninja Theory basically combined Nero from DMC4 with Dante!
Short hair & blue/red hoodie becomes the signature white hair & red coat upon transformation. Clever, Ninja Theory. Now let's see they can fix those Enslaved controls. HEY GUYS DID YOU KNOW I LIKE 3RD PERSON GAMES WHERE YOU HURT PEOPLE A LOT

I saw the new ninja gaiden trailer, and i'm concerned. That whole part where the guy is asking him how many lives his hands have taken, fuck that. Hayabusa is a killing machine made out of pure liquid murder, I don't want him to have feelings of regret or remorse. I appreciate that they got a really heavy hitter to tell the story, and it might be a better game because of it, but one of the things that I loved about the first one was that the story was basically "you are ryu hayabusa, everyone else is a bad guy, GO!"

After watching the official NG3 trailer again:
1. I am going to hire Suda 51 to make a game about a guy who wants to be the best trailer editor so he goes around killing all the other people who make trailers. The game will be called NO MORE INCEPTION HORN SOUND EFFECT.
2. Since you pointed it out I can't stop laughing at the idea of someone trying to make Ryu feel remorse over what he's done. That'd be like making Axe Cop go to confessional. "Father, I fought evil dinosaur bones in an underground catacomb this week. You got it easy."

BWAAAAAAAA............BWAAAAAAA
"Why didn't people like ninja gaiden 2 as much as they did the first one? was it because we simplified the combat mechanic and some how made it both easier and more frustrating? Can't be. It must be because the players were not feeling a strong emotional connection with Ryu. To fix that we are adding an angst mini game, where in you rub the controller on your wrist to simulate cutting. The motion sensors evaluate your razor blade technique while the little red power light will simulate blood."
-(how I imagined the meeting went.)

Yeah. I miss Itagaki. Team Ninja may never make a good game again.

Itagaki wasn't just a pervert. He was a pervert genius. We had kind of wondered when he left team ninja how much of the quality of their games was from his vision. Apparently it was ALOT.

Some stuff I'm waiting:
-Gears of War 3 (Released yesterday) probably will co-op with Kevin on this one. -Battlefield 3 (10/25/11) Don't care about multiplayer, should be fun single player. -Call of Duty 3 (11/08/11) Same as above. -The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (11/11/11) Should be a great game. -Rage (10/04/11) Because you can never get enough post apocalyptic shooting action! -Batman: Arkham City (10/18/11) Somehow wont feel the same if I have to play it, I demand that J comes to Chico so I can watch. -Saints Row: The Third (11/15/11) Should be fun and still looks silly unlike the turn GTA4 took. -Need for Speed: The Run (11/15/11) Hit and miss on the NFS titles, hope this one plays more like Most Wanted, though I guess this will be the first NFS title where you can exit your vehicle. Serious Sam 3: BFE (10/18/11) Because it's Serious Sam.
I think that's most of the ones I'm interested in right now for the 2011 releases.

Just noticed that The King of Fighters XIII slipped under my radar. Looks like it is due out November 22 and I really hope it's good. The last KoF title visually looked good since they finally did a graphics update after like 15 years? but played like crap... I think J mentioned trying this game out in the arcade saying it was pretty good, hope it holds true for the Xbox release. They put many more characters in and hopefully some form of a storyline.
On another note a game I haven't kept track of called Dark Souls will be released tomorrow, from the reviews I've seen it looks interesting. Might give it a shot if I get the chance, or tell Kevin to try it out, looks like something he would be interested in.
And also for those mud sharks that haven't tried L.A. Noire, it is also due out in Novemeber for PC. I never tried the Xbox version, but might also give that one a go depending on my time with 5 million other game releases/school/work/whatever else.

I'm really looking forward to trying out LA Noire, but not $50 looking forward to it. It's on steam though, which means that in a few months, it will be half off, and I will totally pick it up for $30 or less.
