In honor of the many holidays happening this month. Imagine you are the main character of your favorite holidayish story. Now I challenge you to pick 5 songs for a sound track for it. Post what story the track is for and make sure they are not actually a story about one of the holidays and no Christmas music.
Just for official purposes, the 5 Song Mixtape Rules:
1. FINISH THE MIXTAPE. Five songs, no repeats; meaning don’t just copy-paste the same song 5 times (though I expect there to be some overlap between people’s lists). Remixes, covers, and live / acoustic versions are acceptable as well.
2. PROVIDE LINKS. Let us hear what matters to you! Just a couple minutes of rooting around on Google or YouTube should be enough to provide sources for your list.
3. NO PICKING ON ANYONE'S MUSICAL TASTE. I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS YOU GUYS. If you don't dig the selection, move on.
4. STICK TO THE THEME. While I’d like to keep the entries within the bounds of whatever the current category is, if you’re absolutely stuck but still want to contribute and whatever you want is out of bounds Rule #1 comes first. If you include explanations of your choices, all the better!

I decided to challenge myself and pick something really hard, so I went with Nightmare Before Christmas. After several hours of trying to come up with music that held the same spirit and musical style as the absolutely wonderful original soundtrack....I realized that this was the wrong way to go. So, instead I picked one song for the entire movie, and then one song each for the four main characters (yes, I count Zero as a main character) that I felt best captured how how they would have been if this movie had come out of my brain. Nightmare Before Christmas: DJ John | Lonely Siberian WinterLike the movie, this song mashes so many different interesting things into one different interesting thing. Jack Skellington: Florence and the Machine | My Boy Builds CoffinsMy brain was originally rooting for a rock and roll ballad for Jack, but I think this works too. Sally: Stephen Trask | Exquisite CorpseI can't hear this song without thinking about Sally, and I can't see Sally without thinking about this song. Zero: Harry Nilsson | Me and My ArrowJack and Zero always reminded me of Oblio and Arrow. Oogie Boogie: Ita-Saksa | Bogey ManI'll be honest, Oogie Boogie scared the ever-loving shit out of me when I first saw the movie.

Evie, I'm really digging Magica...I've gone and listened to a few of their tracks after listening to Into Silence...and I'm going to go looking for more.
J, Strawberry Chips made both me and Raquel WTF, so I think you have a winner. I'm also totally sold on the Go! Team...I'm going to have to go check out more by them as well.
