We're going! ..But how many of us are we? And what are everyone's plans? ARE there plans?
Heather and I are bringing a fine assortment of costumes and I know we're doing Adam's panel, but that's all we've settled on for the moment. Is that guy who did all the casting demos coming back this year? His panel seemed pretty interesting.

Fanime is an anime con held over Memorial Weekend every year in the Bay Area (San Jose) in California. It's roughly half the size of Anime Expo, getting 20-25 thousand attendees over the 4 day event. I think it's one of the top 10 in the US although with this year's numbers it may have moved up.
I really like Fanime because, though smaller, it offers more than larger corporate/franchise (I suppose) oriented cons like Expo can. Fanime has more viewing rooms than Expo and isn't bound by product rights, so there's a much larger selection of viewable material. Both animated and live action. I also feel that (atleast this year) they had a larger and more interesting selection of Panels.
Plus it has Hentai Nights. (And Yaoi nights oh yeah!! <3) Win!
Don't get me wrong I love Expo, there's nothing like it, but Fanime is all about the fanservice. And I don't just mean panties here. Hahah

In some ways, I actually prefer fanime over expo. You host a panel at expo, and meet lots of people, and then you never see them again. Thats why I have the meeting and conversation in the hall afterward, and I think I may be the only panelist that does that. At Fanime though, you meet people, make friends, and then run into them over and over again throughout the course of the convention. It's great!

I'm actually really interested in going, I've heard a lot of good things about Fanime. I really like the fact that it's kinda far away from me, for a better chance of meeting more people XD. I do have a question though. x-x how is the artist gallery and stuff there work? I'm trying to help a friend of mine promote his work.
