Yeah. They've been hammered by a lot of press in the past few days. If you want the game right now, there's a link to some torrents in the youtube video description.

There's a lot of news coming out of E3 right now. I feel like it would be monotonous to bring most of it up. Something that may have flown under the radar however, is that Criterion(of Burnout fame) is in charge of the new Need for Speed:Most Wanted. Not gonna lie, the trailer looks pretty sick.

The author of Snow Crash wants to make a game about sword fighting. His kickstarter can be found here: Yeah. That happened. EDIT: Now that I've watched it myself, it's very important that you watch the video on the kickstarter. It's pretty amazing.

So, here's an interesting one.
The European court of justice has ruled that digitally sold software can be resold. This ruling overrides any EULA a distributor may have. Meaning, regardless of what the small print says, you can still sell a game on a service like Steam, or Origin, after you've purchased it.
This is only in Europe, of course, but I like where this is going. Bad for them, but good for us.

The ESA has recently announced that every state in the U.S. now has a school for game design. Pretty neat.

PAX starts today! Also, lots of news!
PAX Australia will be a thing. Also, PAX prime will be extended to a 4-day event. Hopefully, this will fix the attendance problem that popped up this year.
Steam greenlight is now up. It allows indie developers to post games, so they can be vote on by Steam users. The games that get enough votes get to be put on sale on Steam. So go vote for your favorite indie games.
And finally, Torchlight 2 finally gets a release date of September 20.

Ok. Here's a big one.
Black Mesa, the fan remake of the original Half-Life that has been in production for WAY too long, will have it's first playable release on September 14th. This build will only include the game as far as the lambda core, as Zen and deathmatch are not quite ready, yet.
This is exciting, assuming it turns out to be true. However, if history is to be believed, there is no reason that they won't change their minds within the week.
