Day 5From the same project as above. It's fun to try out anatomy on animals you haven't really drawn before. Goats are built weird.

Love the various hairstyles of day 3, and the following days could all double as animation for something!

Whew! Sorry I haven't been posting anything, I haven't really had time to draw and even less to scan! I should start posting again today, though!

Day 6So, since I went so long without posting, I'm going to do several days in one day! This is another Americana character. I was working on her character design, and I wanted to draw her with two very different outfits and expressions but still looking like the same person. I think it turned out okay!

Day 7Here's another Americana character (they're my go to for when I want to practice a new style or technique or just need to unwind with art). However, this lovely young lady was not created by me, though I had a hand in designing her look. God I love designing historically inaccurate period clothing. Also, I need to practice hats....hers is basically just a shapeless lump right now!

Day 8More Americana. Everything I'm going to post in the next few days is probably going to be from this universe, because I seem to be on a kick right now. I wanted to practice 'difference in ethnicity' so I spent some time on this guy, who's supposed to be Native American. He turned out a leeeeeetle more cartoony than what I generally try to go for with Americana design, but I'm digging the general shape and layout of his face, but I feel it still needs work to get where I want it. I tried playing with expressions a little bit too. Need...more....practice.......

LOVE the left sketch of #6, the lips, and eyes of #7 (and yes, even the hat), and the hair of #8 -- not saying any part is less than another, but those are the features that were most eye-catching to me.
If you didn't create the lion/mice, where are they from? I do feel like I've seen that design before...

Day 10More Americana. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. Not sure on this guy's design. Need's work. Also, his neck is too long. Hmmm. I think I need some quality alone time with my anatomy books.

Day 11More Americana character designing! I've been working on ethnicities a bit, and I think it paid off here! Still want to do some more anatomy practice, though. And clothes, bah, need to practice clothing more!

Day 12Not Americana!? Just a random bodice girl I drew for someone. She's supposed to be a little chubby, and I had a little trouble this time around, though normally I don't. I need to draw more full-body pictures!
